The making of the Star of Texas, Kasson PublishingThis is the story of the 35 ft. tall monumental Bronze Star standing in front of the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, Texas. After being selected to construct this Texas monument, Kassons Castings built the star at their foundry, only five miles away from the museum. They then transported it in one piece and erected it on site. Three generations of the Kasson Family participated in the building of the star. Our family of Texans is proud to be a part of "The Star of Texas."

Our 32 page, 10" x 8" hardback, library bound book with dust jacket, tells you all about our project. This story, combined with great color pictures on every page (and some animation mixed throughout the book), makes this "children's book" a book for every age level. Not only do you see the creation of this giant star through the eyes of its builders - but also through the eyes and adventures of Papa and Doyle - the curious K-9 duo who were the "guard dogs" / "helpers" during the entire construction, delivery, and installation process. Both children and adults will prize this educational, fun story about the building of this Texas Monument.
